What’s your character’s background? His mother was a slave (and by proxy himself) and he never knew his father, but he escaped that life and turned to a less than legal career. He has no living relatives that he knows of. In the end his life is not complicated, and he likes it that way. He tends to have very good luck (Unnaturally so it sometimes seems), but that hasn’t stopped him from getting himself into a bunch of trouble.
What’s your relationship with the Empire? He tends to stay out of their way, but has had quite a few run ins with them in the past. Needless to say he is on a few lists.
The Rebellion? He tends to stay out of their way too, but has no real issue with them. He may or may not be on a few of their lists as well.
Or any other organization (seedy or otherwise)? Has many connections with the criminal underworld. If they are a less than reputable organization he has probably dealt with them or pissed them off at some point. The Mandroxan Cartal in particular is not too pleased with him at the moment.
What motivates your character? Tal enjoys the thrill of smuggling, fighting, or anything really. He smuggles to make a living, but also because he loves the excitement (adrenaline junky). That said, although he would never admit it, he will help people out from time to time
What do they hope to achieve in the galaxy? The willful slavery of his people is a sore spot for him. He would love to stop this practice. In the short term though he is simply looking for that one big score.
How? Return home someday with enough influence an power to make a change.
Your character’s Duty/Obligation? He owes the Mandroxan cartel a bunch of money (Possibly others as well I’ll flesh this out) (10).
His ship was acquired in a bet with a Mandalorian smuggler. Said smuggler is not too happy with him. (5)
Where does your character see his ‘story’ going? He sees himself building up to bigger and bigger jobs until he finally finds the one big score. Then he won’t need to smuggle anymore, he can return to his home world and maybe make a difference on Ryloth.
Where do you [the player] see his story going? Eventually his past, and his secrets are going to catch up with him.
What are his challenges, he could be presented with? Run in with a Jedi or Sith that tries to make him embrace what he is. Former debts coming to collect. Run in with slavers that he recognizes. People from his past reappearing.
Does he have any great allies/enemies, or will he as the story progresses?

Mandroxan Cartel – He owes them a bunch of money for a botched smuggling jon.
